BEHIND THE TOTES

Hey, I’m Maisie and the founder of totesforyouu established in 2020. 

The idea behind totesforyouu started when I wanted a tote bag for everyday but couldn’t find one I liked. 

So I decided to hand embroider onto my own tote bag different designs and the business started from there in my bedroom, documenting the process on TikTok. I began by selling on Depop, listing all of my totes that I’d put so much love into making and within the first launch we’d sold out in minutes. 

This has become everything I visioned, working all hours day and night on the brand, I’m always thinking about totesforyouu. I love that I do everything! Each tote is embroidered by me, I package every order and reply to every customer message on social media. 

Pretty quickly, I built a platform on TikTok. Today, we have over 90k followers which is still growing. Whilst also building our following on Instagram @totesforyouu. The feedback has been so amazing to see, with five star reviews and I love seeing all of you receiving your totes loving them as much as I loved making them! 

As the small business that I set up all from scratch grew, I felt that although depop was a great platform to start selling on, I wanted a place that I could curate to be my own aesthetic and reflect the brand in the way that I have dreamed of it being! I also invested into an embroidery machine in order to add text to the totes and develop the designs further.

Our planet is really important to us so our totes are all eco friendly, produced ethically and sustainably. All made with fair-trade cotton that has been independently verified as 100% certified organic cotton. Most items are made to order, so I am not wasting any fabric. 

We as a brand believe that everyone needs a simple tote in their life for everyday, ditch the 10p plastic bags for a real bag for life.
